“Never underestimate the faith of mom and dad.”
This was one of the side notes upon hearing a preaching three weeks ago. And it totally resonated in my heart. It is a great reminder for parents that the impact of their faith reaches to the next generationS. In light of this word, I pray that we as parents will always be compelled to exercise our faith even in challenging times and see it as an opportunity to TEACH our children and disciple them counter-culturally.
FAITH IN GOD. Two things about faith is 1) it pleases the Lord. When Abel offered to the Lord the firstborn of his flock, God commended him. 2) it outlives us. Through Abel’s faith, though he died, he STILL speaks. This is the kind of testimony that is built when we please God by faith. (HEBREWS 11:4)
Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God WHO KEEPS covenant and steadfast love with those who love him & keep his commandment, TO A THOUSAND GENERATIONS. This is the impact of your faith. Press on for the Lord is with you. The great thing about faith is it is never about us, but rather, about the object of our faith. To whom is your faith hinged on? Your faith in God pleases Him & lasts up to a thousand generations.
